This sweet spot on Geary Street was created by a dream team of owners from Ace’s, Dobbs Ferry and Amante, taking over a poorly manged location and adding their own special touches. This historical venue was named by previous owners (heavyweight boxer Ralph Figari & professional wrestler Hank Hanastead) using the first two initials of each of their names.
The Ha-Ra Club re-opened in 2015 with a new design that paid homage to the history of the venue. The new owners referenced old pictures to try to preserve some of the original stylings such as the banquettes, upholstery and wallpaper. They even kept the original pool table, some vintage lights and wood floor.
Ha-Ra Club is a great place to check out for visitors and should be one of your go to spots if you are local.
