A recognizable part of the San Francisco skyline, the Coit Tower is a 210 foot high tower located on Telegraph hill near North Beach. Offering panoramic views of the city and the bay, the tower also features a statue of Columbus. The monument was dedicated to the fireman who died in 5 major San Francisco Fires by socialite Lillie Hitchcock Coit.
